Frequently asked

Questions

A few answers below are still drafts pending Karen's review — they're marked clearly. Everything else is verified.
How big are the mats?+

Every mat measures 31.5 by 31.5 inches — sized for a standard mahjong setup.

What are the mats made of?+

The top is a neoprene/polyester blend that lets tiles glide easily across the surface. The backing is a 2–3 mm silicone rubber that grips the table so the mat stays put.

Are the mats waterproof? How do I clean them?+

Yes — the mats are waterproof. Spot-cleaning is best for everyday spills. For something stubborn, Karen has run mats through a gentle wash cycle and hung them to dry, though that isn't her official recommendation. Always make sure a mat is 100% dry before storing it.

How much does a mat cost?+

Mats are $39 each, plus shipping. Discounts are available when you buy multiples — message Karen for the multi-mat rate.

How are mats shipped?+

Mats ship in a polybag by default — Karen has shipped many this way without any creasing complaints. If you'd prefer a cardboard tube, that's available for an additional postage charge.

How long does shipping take?Draft+

[Karen to fill — your usual USPS lead time and any expedited options you offer.]

Do you ship internationally?Draft+

[Karen to fill — yes or no, and if yes, which countries.]

What payment methods do you accept?+

Today, payment is by Venmo or Zelle. A full online checkout with credit and debit cards is on the way.

What happens if a mat sells out?+

Each pattern is finite — when a mat sells out, there's no guarantee Karen can source it again. If you're hoping for a specific one, message her early. She also runs occasional pre-sales when a popular pattern is on the way; let her know if you'd like to reserve one.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?Draft+

[Karen to fill — your return window, condition requirements, and who covers return shipping.]

What if my mat arrives damaged or lost in the mail?Draft+

[Karen to fill — your usual process for damage claims and lost-package situations.]

Where are you based?+

Frisco, Texas. Karen runs Whimsey & Grace solo from home.
